The explanation regarding why future predictions go wrong? in Marathi is attached as Appendix 'D'..

You write Naadi Predictions!

Recently on 14 th October 2007 , a conference on Naadi Prediction was conducted in Pune. While addressing the Naadi lovers, Wing Commander Shashikant Oak, narrated a case where in the matter of the future predictions going wrong from the date of seeing the Naadi leaves was narrated. He opened the topic saying that every one in the gathering expects to know his views on the future predictions going wrong! Why and How? Hot and lively discussion was expected because many had similar experience He said that it is impossible to satisfy each and every one on the issue. . Therefore he devised innovative solution. He asked the audience to try to write the predictions presuming that they themselves are the Naadi Maharshees! Live case details of a person were given by him.

He said, “I would like to narrate live and experience of my very dear friend from Indian Air Force. In the year 2002, I was posted at Air Force Station Halwara near Ludhiana in Punjab . I got introduced to one young Flying Officer Dhananjay Mote . He happened to be from my hometown Madhavnagar, suburb of Sangli. That made our bond with extra warmth. He was best all rounder in real sense of the word! He stood first in all tests. He had excellent command over English, being very ardent devotee of Shirdi Saibaba, his morning routine use to begin by Dhyan and prayers. He developed hobbies of drawing, Painting, Guitar playing. He excelled in Boxing, Out-door games and Gymnasium. He used to be centre of attraction in parties and get-togethers.

He bought brand new Indica car to take mother and three younger sisters to many places of their liking. He desired to see his Naadi Prediction with me in Pune on our vacation. He drove new car all alone from Punjab to Sangli. While in Pune we went to take out his Naadi leaf. When found he was very pleased with the details narrated. Very bright careered, promotions to high posts, children, long life etc details were told. In his Seventh chapter, Maharshi narrated details of his future wife. The one staying at a place of cynic beauty, with modern name, engagement due very soon but marriage to take place only in next year of his age.

In those days, he got engaged with ‘Sarangaa', the person exactly matching with Naadi description; staying in hill station – Panhala, with dry pond opposite her bungalow etc. Even though Dhananjay was keen to get married in the same leave period, he however agreed to wait for the joint marriage along with her elder sister. We, all family members attended his marriage which was conducted soon after his next birthday, exactly as predicted.

Late, I joined back the duties. He enjoyed honeymoon. With in 15 days, he was on the way to take back his wife from his in-laws house. On the way to Kolhapur , after crossing Jayasingpur, a truck bashed his car on the railway over bridge. He expired almost instantaneously, leaving everyone in a state of shock. I attended funeral on behalf of Air force Station with tears in my eyes.

What is this Mr Oak? How come? Could you explain this? What do you have to say? Many persons, many questions! Some openly, some with mute faces! He keeps on yapping Naadi, Naadi. Good! At least now, he and followers of Naadi lovers will keep mum! What Naadi? All bunkum. Many got chance to express their genuine annoyance. Every one had his own opinion. I was guessing what must have happened? One could not take shelter of blaming the translators or Naadi readers. Since they had no role to play!

The writings of Prin. Adwayanand Galatge were echoing in my mind. From the point of view of the seeker, what his ‘past' is, from point of view of the sages (at the time of writing these Naadi predictions) was ‘future'. The seekers cannot deny that their ‘past' came absolute true was based on the correct predictions. Because for Maharshees, seekers ‘past' was also all ‘future' only. Therefore to say that the predictions go wrong is incorrect statement. However, if the predictions go wrong from the date of seeing, then, there must be some definite reason behind it. That is to say, the Maharshees do not see them wrong but narrate them wrong. Predictions are deliberately stated wrong or incorrect. The main purpose of Naadi is not to divine the predictions, but to facilitate the law of Karma to take its natural course of action smoothly and effectively. Apparently it is absurd statement! Let us examine in light of Flying Office Dhananjay Motes example. Now I request all the readers to assume the role of the great sage. That means, since you know the relevant facts about Dhananjay, you presume as if you were the sage with divine vision power to see, and record on palm leaf many, many years ago.

Now you will realise that if fate of Dhananjay's wife was to become widow within 15 days of her marriage, she had to get married to a person like Dhananjay who is destined to die with very short span of time. Now Maharshi that is presently you, have two options for Dhananjay 1) To not to write predictions (Simply telling, ‘Leaf is not found or available') as his lifespan is very short. Also telling him ‘truth' about his sudden death may make him terribly mentally upset. 2) To write palm leaf in such forceful way that Dhananjay has no option but to get urgently married. It has to be with same girl who is fated to be widow in 2 weeks time.

Now if you have opted for the second option, then you will have to keep his palm leaf ready for him to seek the predictions. To make sure about his future plans of marriage you would have kept Seventh chapter also handy with all precise details so that he has no other option but to accept the proposal of the hilltop girl. Now Dhananjay will get married only if his future is depicted as very prosperous and bright. Long life, bright children, smart and beautiful wife are some of the highlights you will state to attract him to get married. Could you dare to write, “My dear fellow, you life is just of few months. Get ready before that, to marry and spoil your wife by making her widow with no fault of hers”. You could say, “I am omniscient sage, I see exactly what is going to happen, and therefore, I will write only the ‘Truth', however bitter it may be?”

No. You will have to depict a dreamy picture of his married life. You will say, ‘I would state all the details of that girl so that not only he but his family members also would get convinced about her, so he will have no other option but to get hooked to her alone.

While climbing the heights of Panhala and witnessing the dry pond before getting down from Indica car at the residence Dhananjay's sisters said, ‘Dada, she is going to be our Bhabhi, as stated in Naadi leaf'!

You, meaning Naadi Maharshi, could have avoided making his leaf ready and easily prevented the allegations of false writings, deliberately misleading the person, by giving false hope and making one person widow unnecessarily. Why did you write the palm leaf? Why did you become target to tarnish the image of Naadi palm leaf astrology? Why? May be you were not bothered about your reputation as omniscient sage. You were more concerned about the law of Karma should not get defeated in the cycle of the events. You were supporting the cause of helping the past karmas getting set off so that Dhananjay was to be freed for next turn of his enactment on the stage of the ‘universal play'. Thus it appears that your main aim was not to divine predictions to impress the believers and be a target of non believers. But be a catalyst in smooth and precise happenings as per Karma Theory. While all along you will have to take care that your writings do adhere the norms of lyrics writings, in most perfect manner. The last word of the previous stanza and first word of current stanza should have the same word to ensure continuity and rhythm of poetic style. The whole matter without any clerical and encoding mistakes or errors were to be transcribed on the palm leave, kept ready with chemical treatment. The arrangements were also made to keep these packets of leaves ready at the convenience of the seeker with the facility to understand it in the language in which the seeker is most comfortable. WILL YOU NOT DO ALL THIS, IF YOU WERE TO BE A GREAT SAGE OF ANCINT TIMES?

Now the critics may realise what troubles we take to undergo the process of Naadi writing. Without any monitory gains, we patiently survey the humanity. Yet we are blamed for many shortfalls, wrong or incorrect predictions!

In addition to what has been stated, there seems to be one more solid reason why writing of Dhananjay's leaf was a must. In due course of time, when many will start criticising the Naadi for its incorrect future predictions, Shashikant Oak, his dear friend would use his palm leaf as a classic example to explain the Law of Karma. Is it not your duty as Naadi Maharshi to provide conclusive proof to defend the purpose of writing of your great records?

Like in the past, had you not kept three leaves ready for Mrs. Oak? Just to attract her husband, Shashikant Oak to this work more closely and provide the required evidence by way of photographs of her leaf for scrutiny by the experts? Dhananjay's leaf would also be used for clearing the doubts about our difficult predicament and most complicated prediction making process!

Many times people get upset over our incorrect sayings, for example:- when we say the seeker will get ‘son' but it turns out to be ‘daughter'. Please understand that in Tamil script there is very subtle difference between two letters in script writing. Marriages do not occur as stated. Because they are actually supposed to be delayed due to past Karma. In that case, we had no other option but to send them to make visits to holy places so that the interim period passes away.

Therefore, please understand Naadi Maharshees before you start criticising and condemning Naadi predictions.
